The Rangers lost to the Senators in that hideous game on Oct. 29, in which they blew a 4-1 lead in the final 10:42 of regulation, then lost a breakaway contest that was held after the hockey game ended.
Also in that game, Zenon Konopka received a very questionable major/game misconduct call for boarding Artem Anisimov, while Wojtek Wolski received a minor for a high hit that knocked out Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson with a concussion. He has yet to return, and today Konopka said that hit “still pisses me off.”
To which John Tortorella said, according to Pat Leonard’s blog, “I don’t give a crap what Zenon said, or whatever his name is, said.”
Of course, Wolski is out after groin surgery. So Konopka’s vengeance will have to be placed elsewhere. I imagine Brandon Prust and/or Andre Deveaux might run into him, but I also suspect Konopka ...
