The collision Saturday night between Montreal Canadiens captain Brian Gionta and Toronto Maple Leafs goalie James Reimer is an unfortunate injury for the break-out net minder.
However, if Reimer is going to be hurt, he may as well sit one game out against the talented Philadelphia Flyers.
The unreliable Johan Gustavsson proved to be able to make his teammates work a bit harder yet again when he came into net in the second period.
James Reimer gets knocked back in one of the few collisions he endured Saturday against the Montreal Canadiens.
He stopped 15 of 18 shots, as the Leafs had to take the win in over time courtesy of a Mikhail Grabovski goal.
Gustavsson was all over the place against in the 6-2 loss to the Boston Bruins, and the game against the Flyers would prove to be a tough bid even for Reimer.
So, coach Ron Wilson will be able to plug Gustavsson in for one painful game, and, at this point, Reimer should be good to go Thursday against the Rangers in New York....
