Dallas Stars left winger Jamie Benn was ejected from Thursday night's game for crosschecking Edmonton Oilers for crosschecking Edmonton Oilers forward Ryan Jones. It was a real cheap shot as there were only 4 minutes left in the third period and the Oilers had a 5-1 lead. Benn apparently took exception as he watched from the bench as Jones got tangled up with Stars goalie Kari Lehtonen a minute or two earlier.  As Benn came off the bench, he saw Jones not paying attention and nailed him right in the back with a real cheap shot. Benn was given a five minute cross-checking major and a game misconduct, and we will see if he receives additional punishment from the league. H/T Puck Daddy. ‘Mad’ness Needs To Stop In Dallas
