With the April 3 trade deadline approaching, it’s time to brainstorm some names that could help the Bruins during the last month of the season and into the playoffs. NESN’s Gord Kluzak thinks the Bruins could target Jarome Iginla of the Flames or Daniel Alfredsson of the Senators before the trade deadline. Kluzak thinks either player could help the Bruins on the power play. Another player that could help the Bruins is Carl Soderberg. He has expressed interest in coming over to the NHL from Sweden after the SEL playoffs are over. The Bruins hold his rights. Watch the video above to hear Kluzak, Dale Arnold and Barry Pederson discuss the moves the Bruins could make at the trade deadline and how Soderberg could fit in with Boston. Bruins Players Each Reveal a Favorite Current Song to Compile Ultimate Bruins Playlist (Music Videos)

When you work in sports television, music is a huge part of your life. It is literally everywhere: in arenas, ballparks, locker rooms, during broadcasts and of course, in your iPod when travelling. I recently did an interview for thenosebleeds.com about my own music background and was asked to create a small playlist. It got me thinking about what a Bruins playlist would look like...

Boston Bruins planning to add Carl Soderberg soon

The Boston Bruins may have help on the way. A report from Darren Dreger states that the Bruins are working to bring in 27-year-old Carl Soderberg to the NHL after the Swedish Elite playoffs conclude. Look out Eastern Conference. The Bruins may have found their final piece of the puzzle all without having to make a trade. Unfamiliar with Carl Soderberg? Here's what you...

Chris Kelly Gives Bruins 2-0 Lead Off Assist by Newly Promoted Jordan Caron (Video)

The Bruins have not seen much production from their third line this season, but a new-look version of that line found its way onto the scoresheet Sunday afternoon. Leading the Flyers 1-0 in the first period, winger Jordan Caron tallied his first point of the season in his first game since being promoted from Providence. Caron initially couldn’t handle a pass from Rich Peverley...

Bruins Weekly Review: Bruins hitting the heaviest part of the season

Seven weeks into the season and seven weeks out from the playoffs, the Bruins stand in fourth place in the East with anywhere from 2-4 games in hand on the competition.  The Bruins are three points behind the Canadiens with four games in hand.  Since we last talked the Bruins endured their second losing streak of the season, both just two games, but haven’t lost otherwise...

Cavalry is On it's Way: Carl Soderberg Wants to Join Bruins After SEL Playoffs

That unicorn in the Boston Bruins organization, Carl Soderberg is making waves once more. Back in January The Bomb wrote this (and we transalted via some translation site): The Bomb:  Carl Soderberg Boston - now? Yes, many sources say that Boston makes a serious attempt to recruit the elite series målkung to NHL - immediately. The salary of Soderberg said to...

Ty Anderson: Weekend update: Rask, Caron, and could B's add a 'Cat?

It had been two years, nine months, and 23 days since Tuukka Rask last squared off with the Philadelphia Flyers. 1,030 days ago to be exact, but hey who was counting? Seemingly haunted by the second round collapsed that’s been the headline of his still young NHL career, there’s no doubt that speculation came with Rask’s perceived ‘hiding’ from the Flyers...

ESPN Ranks Daniel Alfredsson 2nd on its List of Top 20 Rental Players

Craig Custance revealed his rankings for ESPN Insider (behind a paywall) for the top 20 potential rental players for this year’s NHL Trade Deadline. He prefaced the rankings list by acknowledging that the congested NHL standings means a greater likelihood that there will be less trade activity this season. From an Ottawa Senators perspective, two players made the...

Carl Soderberg Would Be Interesting Addition If Forward Ends Up Joining Bruins

When the Bruins traded Hannu Toivonen to the St. Louis Blues in July of 2007, the piece they got back in return came with a couple of question marks. The uncertainty surrounding the then 21-year-old Carl Soderberg — the player the B’s got in return for the underachieving goalie — was warranted. Soderberg was a forward with good size, but also with questions surrounding his...

Bruins Regain Defensive Brand of Hockey, Secondary Scoring in Workmanlike Win Over Flyers

BOSTON — The Bruins found themselves in a familiar position in more ways than one on Saturday afternoon at TD Garden. Thanks to three first-period goals, the B’s took a 3-0 lead to the dressing room after 20 minutes, less than a week after they blew the same lead in a game against the Washington Capitals. There would be no relapse and thus no such collapse on Saturday, though...

Travis Yost: Ottawa Loves Madison Square Garden

Make sure to follow Travis on Twitter! -- When asked what it is about Madison Square Garden that endears itself to the Ottawa Senators, captain Daniel Alfredsson simply replied, "New York City." On Friday night, Ottawa headed to the World's Most Famous Arena and did what they always do -- handed the New York Rangers a tough home-loss. With the 3-2 victory, Ottawa...

Flyers-Bruins Preview

The Boston Bruins have had plenty of chances for revenge since their historic meltdown against the Philadelphia Flyers, and they've usually taken advantage. Tuukka Rask, however, hasn't gotten one yet. If Rask is in net for Boston on Saturday against the struggling Flyers, it would be his first appearance versus Philadelphia since Game 7 of the teams' memorable 2010...

Bruins-Senators Preview

Having rebounded from a brief lull, the Boston Bruins will try to add to their momentum by continuing their recent dominance over the injury-plagued Ottawa Senators. The Bruins seek a 10th straight victory in Ottawa and an 11th in 12 overall meetings Monday night while trying to end the Senators' five-game home win streak. Boston dropped back-to-back games for only the second...

22. Philadelphia Flyers at Boston Bruins. The Garden Smells Like Moldy Cheese and Hartnell's Wife

UGH IT'S AN AFTERNOON GAME! I ******* hate afternoon games man, they're the worst. I mainly hate them because the Bruins absolutely blow donkey balls in afternoon games. I'm not sure what it is, but they seem to never show up for these games. Hopefully, though, the fact that they're playing the Flyers changes everything.  You have to think that the Flyers...
