Jarome Iginla is headed to the Boston Bruins. No, really. He is this time. After the Bruins thought they had a deal to acquire Iginla right before the trade deadline this past season, he decided to play for Pittsburgh instead. The Bruins went on to eliminate the Penguins and Iginla in four games in the Eastern Conference Finals. They clearly liked what they saw out of Iginla though. The Bruins signed Iginla to a one-year deal worth $6 million. Boston had a void in their top six after Nathan Horton left for Columbus. Will the fans of Boston boo the 35 year old future Hall of Famer everytime he touches the puck now? Probably not.

This time, it’s a done deal.
Late yesterday afternoon, the Bruins announced that they had signed free agent forward Jarome Iginla to a one year contract that could be worth up to $6M in performance based incentives.
The deal rings of irony, considering the last time the Bruins tried to deal with Iginla. After Iginla nixed a trade between...
Just midnight on March 28, word came out that Jarome Iginla had been traded to the Bruins. B’s fans celebrated the news. Their team had just locked up one of the best scorers of the past 20 years, the final piece to turn the (at the time) struggling Bruins into true Stanley Cup contenders.
Then, just like that, he was gone. The original report proved to be false, as Iginla had...

Since Tyler Seguin was traded on the Fourth of July, I have gone through a roller coaster of emotion.
As you all may know I am was a HUGE Tyler Seguin fan. I had his jersey and autographed rookie puck. I was a 40 year old male Seguinista.
He was the franchise player, the first since Joe Thornton (and we know how that worked out).
He was a once or twice...
With Jarome Iginla and Loui Eriksson now officially members of the Boston Bruins, there's just one more piece of the puzzle for Peter Chiarelli to finish. And that's to resign Tuukka Rask and give Patrice Bergeron a much deserved extension. Rask emerged as one of the NHL's best goalies last season and should have been a finalist for the Vezina Trophy. While Bruins...
