RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- The Carolina Hurricanes have placed backup goalie Brian Boucher on injured reserve and say center Jeff Skinner is out with an undisclosed injury.
The team on Sunday also recalled forward Drayson Bowman from its AHL affiliate in Charlotte.
Boucher suffered a lower body injury during practice Monday in Calgary but did not elaborate on the injury.
The team also did not have any additional details on the injury suffered by Skinner. The reigning NHL rookie of the year leads the last-place Hurricanes with 12 goals and 24 points.
The 22-year-old Bowman has two goals and one assist in 34 career games with Carolina.
