Winnipeg Jets center Rob Schremp, coming off the best season of his career, is heading to Sweden to play next season.
New York Newsday reported Wednesday that Schremp will play for MODO of the Swedish Elite League after splitting last season with the New York Islanders and Atlanta Thrashers, who moved to Winnipeg after the season. He collected 13 goals and 13 assists.
Schremp, 25, debuted with Edmonton during the 2006-07 season and spent three seasons with the Oilers before joining the Islanders in 2009.
