Winnipeg Jets defenseman Zach Bogosian will not be suspended or fined for his hit on Cody Eakin of the Washington Capitals.
Bogosian and Jets general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff had a hearing with NHL disciplinarian Brendan Shanahan, who deemed that the blue-liner was targeting the shoulder of Eakin - but the latter moved at the last moment during Wednesday's game. Bogosian contacted the head of Eakin as a result.
The third overall pick of the 2008 draft, Bogosian has never been suspended during his three years in the league.
Bogosian, 21, has collected six assists and 22 penalty minutes this season.
