Sabres coach Lindy Ruff says Hecht will be "out for weeks instead of days." The announcement Thursday comes on the day Buffalo opens its Eastern Conference quarterfinal playoff series against the Boston Bruins. Hecht missed the final three games of the regular season because of the injury, but had practiced the last two days.
