When I first started this site back in 2006, I just wrote to exercise my love of writing and sports. Naturally, after adopting the Phoenix Coyotes as my favorite team, it morphed into a Coyotes blog.
Writing was and still is fun.
What’s cool about keeping a hockey blog is the people who I get to meet on a virtual basis. Hockey people are the best people I have come in contact with. The three people that I’ve met from the FFH site fit that bill for me: Travis, Jordan, and Carl, which is why when they were calling for other writers to help out, it was a no-brainer for me to ask to join their team.
So, I’m just thrilled to join the crew over at Five For Howling. I’m really looking forward to it.
What does this mean for this site? Well, I’ll most likely maintain it for the near future. The initial mission for this place was all sports, and it still says that. I’ll find a way.
In reviewing my work, there is some great stuff here – I don’t really want to let it go. Of course, there is some lame stuff too…we all remember that first essay we wrote in high school thinking that it.was.the.best.evar – only to realize it was very elementary and very embarrassing.
Anyway, if you are here – thanks for dropping by. Look for me at Five For Howling. And if you caught me on Twitter – well, I’ll catch you there too.
