The hockey’s are for the most part an unfair bunch and Sunday’s game between the Detroit Red Wings and Los Angeles Kings proved so.
After getting dominated essentially the entire game, the Red Wings pulled off a 3-2 win over the defending Stanley Cup champions from the Joe Louis Arena.
But to further rub salt into the open wound of the Kings, who have struggled all season, the Wings pulled off the victory when Jonathan Ericsson’s blast just trickled by Jonathan Quick with just four seconds remaining in the third.
“The funniest part, actually, was one of the linesmen was thanking me after I scored,” Ericsson said. “He said, ‘Thank you so much because I really have to go pee. I wouldn’t have lasted the overtime.’
“That was kind of funny.”
You gotta love when things seem to work out for everyone (except the Kings of course).
