Things weren’t all champagne and roses for Los Angeles sports teams Monday night.
While the Dodgers were booking their ticket to the NLCS at Dodger Stadium, the Kings were taking on the Rangers across town.
With the Rangers up 2-1 lead early in the third period and killing a penalty, they received a nice little boost from Kings keeper Jonathan Quick. Ryan McDonagh, who grabbed the puck off a defensive zone faceoff, sent it down the river, banking it off the boards and into the Kings zone. Quick came out to play the puck but lost his stick and allowed the puck to bounce off his pads and into his own net.
