Jose Theodore is a goalie looking for a home. After spending 2011-12 and 2012-13 with the Florida Panthers, it appears Theodore will need to find a new team if he wants to continue his NHL career. According to the Sun Sentinel, Theodore and his agent haven't spoken with the Panthers, but the veteran goaltender has reportedly received some interest from two other teams.  Though the 36-year-old (soon to be 37-year-old) goaltender hasn't heard from the Panthers, he isn't opposed to returning to Florida. In fact, the Panthers are still his first choice.  Theodore told the Sentinel: The Panthers are still my No. 1 choice. I don't know if the door is closed, but there's been no discussions. Training camp is still a month away, so I'm not ready to think about [retirement]. Theodore is hoping to bounce back after an injury to his groin forced him to miss a majority of the 2012-13 season. Last year he suited up in just 15 games for the Panthers, compiling a 4-6-3 record with a 3.29 GAA. His 2011-12 with the Panthers was much better as he helped the team to a 38-26-18 record and a Southeast Division title.  Odds are good that some team will eventually gamble on Theodore. It's likely he'll be used in a reserve role, but he'll probably find a job before the 2013-14 season begins. As teams enter training camp and find out their various areas of weakness, Theodore may become a more appealing option. Since debuting in the NHL back in 1995-06, Theodore has spent time with the Montreal Canadiens, Colorado Avalanche, Washington Capitals, Minnesota Wild and the Florida Panthers.  [follow]
