Ed Jovanovski has played for the National Hockey League for 15 years on teams like the Florida Panthers, the Vancouver Canucks and for the past four seasons the Phoenix Coyotes. Last night he did something new in his career: score a hat trick. Jovanovski is a defenseman who has been told by his coach when he is on the offence to shoot the puck hard. He scored three goals in one game giving himself his first career hat trick and he is also the first defenseman in franchise history to score a hat trick. Jovanovski had a great game and this showed in his personal results. His coach Dave tippet stated “he was opportunistic on the goals, but he played a solid game for us, too.
