Justin Abdelkader, Detroit Red Wings – $6,279: Abdelkader has won the right to play alongside two fantasy studs in Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg. Buffalo was one of the worst defensive teams in the NHL last year and they didn’t improve much in the offseason. That line should be good for a couple goals tonight. Justin Abdelkader brings a lot to the table for Fantasy owners, but the Datsyuk and Zetterberg factor is huge.(Photo Credit: Kirk Irwin/Getty Images) LW Jakob Silfverberg, Anaheim Ducks – $6,298: It is simple, Silfverberg is playing on the second unit with Selanne and could see powerplay time with Getzlaf and Perry. What isn’t to like? LW Ville Leino, Buffalo Sabres – $7,407: In eight games last year Leino put up six points, but he was playing on a line with with Thomas Vanek and Cody Hodgson. He’s expected to play with those two on the Sabres powerplay, but will skate on the second line with Tyler Ennis and Steve Ott. Draft Street Fantasy Hockey Picks: Busts LW Thomas Vanek, Buffalo Sabres – $12,321: I like Leino because he’s cheap, but Buffalo will have a hard time scoring goals against a stingy Wings team. C Vincent Lecavalier, Tampa Bay Lightning – $10,784: Lecavalier should have a solid season, but he is the 5th most expensive option up the middle. Bust is written all over that price tag. G Ryan Miller, Buffalo Sabres – $18,525: Detroit should fill the net tonight early and often. Nothing against Miller, I just don’t like the team in front of him. Viktor Fasth will get the start tonight for the Ducks, even better, the price is right for Daily Games.(Photo Credit: Danny Murphy/Icon SMI) Draft Street Fantasy Hockey Picks: Picks RW Jakub Voracek, Philadelphia Flyers – $10,579: Voracek finished up last year with 11 points in his last 13 games. Playing with Claude Giroux helps. With the Leafs playing on back to back nights, they might be a bit sluggish. C Pavel Datsyuk, Detroit Red Wings – $12,184: Detroit could score five or six against Buffalo tonight and he might be in on four of them. G Jimmy Howard, Detroit Red Wings – $12,490: The Red Wings are a good hockey club and Howard is dandy indeed between the pipes. There is a lot to like about the matchup too. G Viktor Fasth, Anaheim Ducks – $17,817: He’ll get the start, so the price tag is much lower than the others. If you like the Ducks to win and I do – then go for it.   Good luck, enjoy and hopefully these Draft Street Fantasy Hockey Bargain Picks help!   Enter Draft Street's $1000 NFL Free Roll | Signup & Deposit to receive a 100% Bonus up to $200 The post October 2nd, 2013 Draft Street Fantasy Hockey Picks appeared first on Fantasy Sports Locker Room.
