Found July 22, 2013 on HockeyBuzz:
A bit of surprising news for today: Ryan Miller was invited to the USA Hockey orientation camp, and is the only one representing the Sabres. Former Buffalo captain, Jason Pominville, was left off the list and was not invited. Seems to me like Pommers got ripped off there. It's not like he hasn't been producing points. He is 5th amongst US born players in PTS/G over last 3 seasons... Pom...

GARTH: Miller Visited Colorado

So Ryan Miller was in the state of Colorado this weekend. Contrary to internet rumors, the Sabres goalie was not in Vail on NHL business. Miller and his wife, Noureen Dewulf, were invited guests at the wedding of NHLer, John Michael Liles. Miller and Liles have been great friends since their playing days at Michigan State University. Liles stood up for Miller in his bridal party...

Sabres sign goalie Hackett

The Buffalo Sabres have signed goaltender Matt Hackett to a one-year contract. Hackett, selected by Minnesota in the 2009 third round, was acquired from the Wild last season and played in three games for Buffalo's American Hockey League affiliate in Rochester, N.Y. The London, Ontario native went 22-20-3 record with a 2.59 goals-against average last year in games with Houston...

Sabres Sign Luke Adam To One Year, 735K Pact by   Steven Ellis

Capgeek is reporting that the Sabres have re-signed Luke Adam to a one year deal worth $735,000. Adam was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres 44th overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. Adam played in 52 NHL games in his first full NHL season in 2011-2012 and finished the year minus-six with 10 goals and 10 assists. Adam was good when he was on a line [...]

Kevin Freiheit: Rebulid benefits Kaleta

In June 2011, I wrote an article about Patrick Kaleta and how there may not be room for him on the roster. (You can read it here - "Is Kaleta's future in Buffalo in jeopardy?") In July 2012, I wrote a similar article, asking the same question. Looking back at that original post, this is what I had to say about Kaleta two years ago: 2011: In his first couple of...

Kevin Freiheit: Making a statement

As we all know, the Ville Leino contract has turned out to be a huge bust so far. Many have wondered why the Sabres haven't bought him out, but instead Buffalo said goodbye to Nathan Gerbe. Leino has obviously not had much success since he's been with the Sabres, and that's an easy way to get on the fans' bad side. After a breakout season with Philadelphia (19...

Report: Sabres re-sign goalie Matt Hackett

The Sabres have re-signed restricted free agent goalie Matt Hackett to a two-way contract, according to RDS’s Renaud Lavoie. The 23-year-old Hackett, a key piece in April’s Jason Pominville with Minnesota, gets $715,000 in the NHL, Lavoie reported. If the Sabres keep starting goalie Ryan Miller, Hackett’s expected to be Rochester’s No. 1 netminder in 2013-14. The prospect...

USA Hockey announces their Olympic camp invites

Just a few days after the NHL announced that its players would be allowed to play in Sochi, the US has passed out its invites to the Olympic orientation camp. The camp itself will be held on August 27th and 28th at Kettler Capitals IcePlex in Arlington, Virginia. Click here to see the full list of players There doesn’t appear to be any glaring omissions (Jason Pominville can possibly...
