LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Curtis Sanford made 31 saves for his sixth career shutout, defenseman Grant Clitsome ended a 22-game goal drought, and the Columbus Blue Jackets beat the Los Angeles Kings 1-0 Saturday. Sanford started back-to-back games for the first time since a 12-game stretch from Nov. 17 through Dec. 10 when coach Scott Arniel benched Steve Mason. The shutout was Sanford's first since Dec. 28, 2008 against Ottawa while playing for the Vancouver Canucks. The Kings' Jonathan Quick stopped 17 shots, two nights after beating Phoenix 1-0. Los Angeles, which has scored a league-low 90 goals, was held to fewer than three in regulation for the 19th time in 21 games and shut out for the fifth time this season.

TRH Recap 41: Coyote Ugly

Look... I'm really glad that the Los Angeles Kings are 5-0-3 since firing Terry Murray and replacing him with Darryl Sutter. But too many people are ignoring a growing problem... and now it's affecting young players that don't even know how to call for help in the native language of this country. I'll give you 1 guess whose hand that is on Andrei Loktionov'...

The only thing I can think of is the Jackets are actually trying to fail for Nail. That or Arniel is begging to be fired. Why else would you start Steve Mason after Sanford was coming off a shut out win? Gut feeling? What gut...
