The Kings agreed to a 10-year deal with Jonathan Quick that will be officially signed Sunday, the first day of the NHL league year.

The goaltender won the Conn Smythe Trophy as the MVP of the Stanley Cup Finals and was named the Kings' most valuable player in the regular season.

Drafted 72nd overall in the 2005 draft, Quick is just 26.

Quick had a 16-4 record in the playoffs with a 1.41 goals-against average, a .946 save percentage and three shutouts. Quick never allowed more than three goals in a playoff game and allowed two or fewer goals in 18 of his 20 games.

In Quick's four postseason losses, the Kings scored a total of three goals.

Quick set two franchise records last season. He became the first Kings goalie to record at least 30 victories in three consecutive seasons. Quick also recorded his ninth shutout late in the regular season to break a tie with Rogie Vachon for the single-season regular-season record. Vachon also recorded eight shutouts during the 1976-77 season.
