It’s official, Kris Letang confirmed this morning that he will play tonight against the Rangers. For the first time all season, all our big guns are going to be on the ice. When Crosby returned the first time Kris Letang was out with a concussion then. We also have all three of our centers, Malkin, Crosby and Staal on the ice which for the last two seasons has not happened that often. And with Malkin and Staal playing out of their minds right now, I can only imagine how the Rangers are feeling today. Especially with the news that starting goalie Henrik Lundqvist will not be playing tonight for the Rangers.
The Pens sit 6 points behind the Rangers in the Atlantic Division so, a win for the Penguins will bring them that much closer to clinching the division and likely the Eastern Conference.

Let’s make that 10, Penguins beat Rangers
I’m going to have to go to the thesaurus to find more words for dominate, punish, beat, destroy etc because that’s what the Penguins have been doing to their opponents lately and I’m starting to feel repetitive. It doesn’t hurt that a couple more of our big guns returned to the lineup last night in Kris Letang and that guy Sidney Crosby. Add that to the already dominant...

Sidney Crosby is back in the Pittsburgh Penguins' lineup, and right in the middle of the Eastern Conference playoff race, after sitting out for three months with concussion symptoms.

Dubinsky’s biggest problem
No, it isn’t Carl Hagelin although that’s a pretty big issue for Dubinsky right now. Dubinsky is clearly the forgotten man in the Rangers offense right now. No, Brandon Dubinsky’s biggest problem this season is consistency.
Anyone that watched the Islanders game will have seen Dubinsky strong on the puck, his line generate plenty of chances and all round, the line – led...

Not Just Numbers
You always have to overpay for talent in free agency regardless of the talent bought but especially for elite talent. With that simple hockey assumption out the way let us discuss Brad Richards and his arrival on the Rangers. His numbers are important (obviously) but he’s not just about the stat line and should not be judged as such.
With a little luck and some extended form (and...

Bickel is Rangers' Biggest Surprise, Hagelin a Close Second
By Bruce Berlet
When it comes to feel-good stories in the NHL this season, you’d be hard-pressed to find one better than New York Rangers defenseman Stu Bickel, who began the season playing on Asylum Street in Hartford.
Though Bickel will never be confused with elusive Hall of Famers Bobby Orr or Cheshire-bred Brian Leetch, he has proven to be one of the NHL’s all-time steals...
