Kris Letang who has not played since he scored the overtime goal against Montreal back on November 26th, is scheduled to make his return to action tonight. The Penguins are in New York City ready to take on the Atlantic Division and Eastern Conference leading New York Rangers. Letang’s return is a great boost to the currently surging Penguins, who have won their last three games. Letang had 3 goals and 16 assists in the 22 games he’s appeared in this season. So, he may provide the Penguins with some extra offensive help.
In other news, the Pens obviously can’t have a healthy team, Aaron Asham will be out tonight with concussion-like symptoms. Such is the way with the Penguins, we gain one, we lose another.
With the Rangers 10 points ahead of the Pens in the standings a win tonight would be huge for the Penguins to help keep the standings close.
