Although there was some hope that Pittsburgh forward Chris Kunitz (lower body) would return on Sunday, that won’t be the case. Penguins coach Dan Bylsma reported that Kunitz is “feeling well, but not well enough to be in today’s lineup,” according to NHL.com. This is his second straight game on the sidelines. Pittsburgh is also missing James Neal and the absence of two of the team’s top-six forwards might encourage Bylsma to pair up Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin more often than normal. For the most part though, it’s projected that Taylor Pyatt will be playing alongside Crosby in Kunitz’s place.

Full 82-game slate this year would be a first for Crosby

It's not as if the young man's resume needs to be fleshed out. Among many other things. But there is at least one feat that has eluded Crosby since...

Flyers dominate home half of back-to-back with Penguins

Anything appears possible with 16 games left in the regular season for the playoff-hopeful Flyers. One scenario is that they face the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round of the playoffs, and if Saturday was any indication, that’s just fine with the Flyers. A 4-0 drubbing of the Penguins was perhaps the best 60-minute effort the Flyers have had this season. “This was one...
