One of the brightest stars early this hockey season has been Kyle Brodziak already with 10 goals and 7 assists. With the Minnesota Wild having the best record in the NHL at 20-7-3 after 30 games, they have quietly become the biggest story in the league early this season.
The team has generally had a reputation for having elite defensive schemes, but just not being consistent on a game to game basis. The team seems to be hungry, united, and focused this season, much to the delight of fans and supporters of the organization.
With excitement running high and the team having the potential to reach the Stanley Cup, here are some of the recent comments of Brodziak, “There’s a lot of belief right now that we’re for real, and if there’s a reason why we feel that way, it’s because of the way we come to the rink and the way we prepare. We’re not where we want to be yet.”
I like the mentality of the Minnesota Wild and it certainly seems like they will not become content or complacent unless they continue to win. It seems like the best is yet to come for this team.
