Ian White finally made his way back into the lineup on Saturday night, replacing Kyle Quincey after Quincey took a redirected puck to the face Friday in Edmonton. And it looks as if White will be on the ice for the foreseeable future: Four to six weeks for Quincey — Ted Kulfan (@tkulfan) March 18, 2013 Quincey suffered multiple fractures on the play, in which he reached to block a shot, only to tip the puck into his own cheek. Kulfan also reported that Quincey and the Wings have not yet decided if surgery is necessary. A four-to-six-week timetable puts Quincey’s status for the remainder of the regular season in jeopardy. Detroit closes out the 48-game schedule on April 27, so even the shortest recovery period could push Quincey’s return into the playoffs.
