Lou Lamoriello, Mike Modano and Eddie Olczyk have been elected as the 40th class inducted to the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame.

Lamoriello was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2009 as a builder, with a career that including coaching Providence College and selection of the 1996 World Cup.

The president, general manager and CEO of the Devils joined the franchise in 1987. He's the longest-tenured general manager in the NHL and has guided the Devils to 21 playoff appearances in the past 23 seasons, including Stanley Cup victories in 1995, 2000 and 2003.

Modano was the No. 1 pick in the 1988 draft by the Minnesota North Stars, won a Stanley Cup with the franchise when it moved to Dallas and finished with 1,374 points, including 561 goals. He's the all-time leading scorer among American-born NHL players.

Olczyk had 342 goals, 452 assists and played 1,031 career games with six different teams over 16 seasons. He had a 90-point season with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was originally drafted as the third overall pick by the Chicago Blackhawks in 1984 and won a Stanley Cup with the Rangers in 1994.

The date and time for inductions in Eveleth, Minn., is to be determined.
