Chicago Blackhawks goaltender didn’t exactly have the best night in Los Angeles on Monday. Not only did he let up four goals in the Kings’ 5-2 victory over Chicago in Game 4, but Crawford also reportedly took his frustrations out on a fan at the end of the game, and now the fan is pressing charges. After being pulled late in the third period, Crawford reportedly responded to a heckler by spraying him in the face with a water bottle (he must be taking notes on Shawn Thornton’s game film) and now the fan has filed a battery report. According to TMZ Sports, Clark Wong, a 27-year old Kings fan, filed the report claiming that Crawford sprayed him after being heckled by Wong behind the Blackhawks bench during the game. Wong, who was ejected from the arena after the incident, claims that the spray contained water and backwash and has “caused serious irritation to his eyes.” The ridiculousness of this story is off the charts. Regardless of whether or not Wong actually is experiencing “serious irritation” to his eyes (and let’s be real here, he’s making that up) you’ve got to just man up and take the payback you deserve. If you heckle a guy while in a position where he can get revenge 1.) you’re a dumbass, and 2.) you’ve got to be on your toes. If you allow yourself to get sprayed as a result of your chirping, that’s your own fault. The proper response is to towel yourself off and tip your cap to your opponent, not file a lawsuit. Grow up, Clark Wong. Article found on: Next Impulse Sports
