WEDNESDAYS STORYLINE: Guillaume Latendresse was back on the ice today for the Wild after missing last Saturdays game at Vancouver and the last 3 practices. "(Latendresse) felt great out there, he felt better than he has in a couple weeks. He thinks he is available if we want to use him, said head coach Mike Yeo. If Latendresse does come back tomorrow night against Anaheim, it doesnt appear he will be on the top three lines. Yeo was happy with the third line's work by Brett Bulmer, Kyle Brodziak and Nick Johnson in Vancouver on Saturday and said it would be a pretty tough line to tinker with right now. In Latendresses absence, Yeo has adjusted the top two lines in practice the past few days. Cal Clutterbuck has been on the first line with Mikko Koivu and Dany Heatley. The second line consists of Devin Setoguchi, Matt Cullen and PierreMarc Bouchard. "I'm excited to see the dynamics of lines that we have set for the game tomorrow, said Yeo. One of the dynamics is the physical-play Clutterbuck can bring to the top line. Clutterbuck said he is just going to play his game (I need to) be physical, get in on the forecheck, create some turnovers and get them the puck and create room for them, he said. Teams have been very focused on Minnesotas top line and they havent had a lot of space. "Clutterbuck draws a lot of attention. He is a guy when he is on the ice the other team is aware of, thats for sure," said Yeo. "It would be nice if he could create a little bit of space for those guys. Yeo also feels Clutterbucks net presence can help create some of those dirty goals. He is good at annoying people. Hopefully he can annoy their goalie a little bit in front of the net, the idea of him knowing what his role is. When we have the puck, you are to screen the goalie and not let him see the puck, and create a lot of problems in front of the net, drawing attention from their weak side defenseman. HE SAID IT: You have to search for answers and you always have to find a way to be at your best every night. I dont think that we want to bring out the bingo balls every day, and if things arent going well, say it is just a matter of the wrong combinations or whatever and just keep trying that daily, but certainly we do have to be willing and open to try new things and see what that does for us. ---Yeo on changing line combinations

The Blonde Curse

After countless hours reviewing film, I think I've finally come up with a reason why the Minnesota Wild don't have much (ok, any) success in the playoffs: it's that blonde chick that always sits behind the home bench. Since she started sitting there many years ago, the Wild have had only one successful playoff run. Could she be the Wild's version of the Wrigley Billy...

I'm Huge in Horlivka

I did some in-depth analysis last night of the traffic (and lack thereof) on this web site. What stood out to me was where most of my readers originate from. With that in mind, here is a list of countries with the most visits to Wild Puck Banter:1. USA.2. Ukraine.3. Canada.4. Finland.5. China. What strikes me is my popularity in Ukraine. On a per-capita basis, this is the country...
