Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brian Burke gave coach Ron Wilson a vote of confidence on Thursday, one day after the Anaheim Ducks fired coach Randy Carlyle.
"Sorry to hear about Randy Carlyle," Burke posted on Twitter. "But our coach isn't going anywhere."
Carlyle and Burke are linked due to their Stanley Cup championship in 2007.
Wilson is in the final season of his four-year deal with Toronto, which has posted a 14-9-2 mark and sits one point behind Northeast Division-leading Boston.

Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender James Reimer is expected to return to the lineup for Saturday's game against the Boston Bruins.
Maple Leafs coach Ron Wilson said Reimer received medical clearance Friday after sitting out 19 games with concussion-like symptoms.
