Goaltender Michael Leighton has cleared re-entry waivers, and will rejoin the Flyers, tomorrow. General Manager Paul Holmgren stated yesterday that if Leighton cleared waivers the Flyers would like to start him either.Friday or Saturday. Most likely, to give Brian Boucher and Sergei Bobrovsky a little rest, and to avoid injury to either or them. Lets make this clear, no matter what Leighton does in which ever game he starts, he’s the teams 3rd goaltender. Doesn’t matter if he gets a shutout, or makes 50 saves. While we’re at it, lets make something else clear, goaltending hasn’t been the problem for the Flyers. If goaltending was even a part of the problem the Flyers would be losing games by a lot more than they have been. Sergei Bobrovksy is your starter in the playoffs and that’s that.
