Rangers Unveil 2012 Winter Classic Jerseys
The New York Rangers unveiled their jerseys for the 2012 NHL Winter Classic this afternoon in Central Park, which you could've watched right here on the blog. Below are the jerseys, followed by my thoughts on the newly-designed sweaters.
I love the look of these jerseys, and they just so happen to resemble the new look I launched on the blog this morning. The crest actually...
Girardi All Star Write-in Campaign Officially Over
The NHL released their Week 2 results of All Star balloting and Dan Girardi has fell out of the Top 20 after an impressive Week 1 showing at #18.There was never the excitement behind the campaign that there was with Sean Avery last year.So it is with much regret that I am shutting down the Girardi write-in campaign. If you still want to vote for him, I absolutely encourage you to...
New York Rangers Place Andre Deveaux On Waivers
… talk about going from being a talked about player who started to make a name for himself to being placed on waivers only a short 2 weeks later. “Bel Biv Deveaux” was his own “poison” for his Rangers career.
Deveaux Placed on Waivers.
Katie Strang at ESPN NY reports that Andre Deveaux has been placed on waivers today....assuming he clears and gets sent back to Whale....no Hagelin or Mitchell without Deveaux suspension, so we've got to give him a big thanks for that.Reports from practice state that Brad Richards and Dan Girardi were given maintenance days.Remember to follow me on Twitter & Facebook or e...
Statement – Penguins @ Rangers Post Game Thoughts…
When the Rangers were reeling off 7 wins in a row, the debbie downers were constantly on the team about beating up on inferior teams. How the Rangers true test would be the 3 games we just played against the Caps, the Flyers, and the Penguins. Tough to do much better than the Rangers just did. 3 games, 3 wins, 0 points gained by the opposition. Just imagine if this club didn’t...
Rangers' Marc Staal Back Skating
Katie Strang of ESPN
New York is reporting that New York Rangers defenseman Marc Staal has begun
skating lightly on his own. Staal is
continuing to progress in his recovery after resuming light workouts earlier
this month following a full month shut down period. The fact that Staal was able to resume light
workouts with no ill effects that he can now be back on the ice...

New York Rangers Have Become an Elite Team
By Alexander Monaghan
President
Last night, the New York Rangers proved they can stand up to the so-called elite. Their 4-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins was broadcast on Versus for the entire country to see, putting the team in the spotlight for perhaps the first time since the mid-90s. While Versus, and NHL on NBC for that matter, have pushed the big-market Rangers on...
Gameday 25 - Rangers

TV: ROOT, Versus, TSN2

The "World's Most Famous Arena" has been heavily renovated and it looks quite a bit different than the last time the Pittsburgh Penguins visited. The Rangers are 6-1-1 at home this year, so many the renovations...
Rangers’ Staal begins skating
Marc Staal, symptom-free for at least the last five weeks, has entered the next phase of his recovery from the concussion he sustained in February by beginning to skate on his own, The Post has learned.
Staal, sidelined all season, skated at the Rangers’ practice rink yesterday and again this...
Brandon Dubinsky on Jody Shelley: ‘He’s a terrible hockey player’
Here, for the second time today, is the teaser for HBO's much-anticipated 24/7 Flyers Rangers, which should serve to get you appropriately excited for program. It's worth a revisit, especially in light of the delicious back-and-f0rth it has spawned between Jody Shelley and Brandon Dubinsky.
I direct your attention specifically to Shelley's standout moment at the six...
Flyers Say They Need More Of A Net Presence
The players identified the fact that they let Henrik Lundqvist have clear sightlines as part of the reason they lost on Saturday.

My Thoughts On Bobby Ryan.
Do it. Get him. This team is still, imho 1 more legitimate offensive weapon away from being a Stanley Cup favorite. You have the chance to get a multiple 30 goal scorer on a favorable contract who is just now entering the prime of his career, you do it. End of story. This is why the Rangers have these assets, to make moves when they are ready…and they are ready, now.
I’ve...
War of Words Between Rangers' Dubinsky, Flyers' Shelley Adds Intrigue To HBO 24/7
The appeal to fans of HBO’s 24/7 that leads up to NHL Winter Classic is the
behind the scenes access it gives them to the teams and players they
follow. Beyond practices and the locker
room access there can be a more candid conversation by the players about what
they think about other people in the league.
That side of it is out in full force in the past week as Flyer...
