Several reports circulated Saturday that the Lightning may be recalling 23-year old Alex Killorn from AHL affiliate Syracuse Crunch. Today, the Bolts made the news official with their press release.
Killorn, has skated in 44 games with the Crunch this season, recording 16 goals and 38 points to go along with 32 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-1, 202-pound forward ranks third in the AHL for rookie scoring with 38 points. Killorn ranks tied for second on the Crunch for assists with 22 and is tied for the team lead with seven power play goals. He ranks first on the Crunch and third in the AHL with 166 shots on goal this season.
The Halifax, Nova Scotia native appeared in 130 career games with Harvard prior to joining the professional ranks, recording 53 goals and 109 points over four years from 2008 through 2012.
