The Tampa Bay Lightning reached a two-year agreement with free-agent defenseman Sami Salo that will pay him $3.75 million per year, NHL.com reported. Salo, who turns 38 in September, has missed an average of 24 games a year since the 2004-05 season because of injuries. He just completed a one-year, $2 million contract with the Vancouver Canucks. Salo had nine goals and 16 assists in 69 games this past season.
