New Jersey Devils
NEWARK, N.J. (AP) -- Nate Thompson scored twice and Martin St. Louis and rookie Alexander Killorn each had a goal and an assist as the Tampa Bay Lightning snapped a five-game losing streak with a 5-2 victory over the struggling New Jersey Devils on Tuesday night.
Cory Conacher and Vincent Lecavalier each had two assists as the Lightning won for only the second time in eight games and extended the Devils' winless streak to six games (0-5-1).
Anders Lindback had 25 saves for the Lightning, surrendering late goals to Adam Henrique and Patrik Elias.
New Jersey's slide has taken place with Johan Hedberg in goal for the injured Martin Brodeur (back). The crowd at the Prudential Center cheered wildly after coach Peter DeBoer sent Keith Kinkaid out for his first NHL action after Tampa Bay opened a 3-0 lead.
The only good thing the Devils did was end Steven Stamkos' 10-game point streak.

ON THE NOSE
Tampa Bay Lightning forward Tom Pyatt scored unconventionally against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday night. His teammate Keaton Thompson went to shoot the puck and fired it a little bit high, catching Pyatt right on the nose. The puck then took an odd bounce off his nose and went past Marc Andre-Fleury, who was not prepared for the last-second change of direction. Pyatt...

Unfortunately for Tampa Bay, they seem to not have learned their lesson about giving Malkin the puck in space. Lightning defenseman Eric Brewer dove to try and...

The Lightning appeared to have Monday’s game against Pittsburgh won. However, bad decisions ultimately did them in as they lost to the Penguins 4-3. Trailing 1-0 after the first period, the Lightning would get two goals from Steven Stamkos and Tom Pyatt. Later in the period, goalie Mathieu Garon would suffer a leg injury and would be replaced by Anders Lindback. But in the third...
Looking for their first win in over a week, the Tampa Bay Lightning came out and put up a good fight against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Unfortunately, for the fifth straight game, small mistakes and giveaways added up to the Lightningâs demise. Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins put on an impressive show and walked out of the CONSOL Energy Center with a 4-3 win and two...
After suffering five straight losses, the Tampa Bay Lightning took to the ice at the Prudential Center and beat the New Jersey Devils by a score of 5-2. Given all the trials and tribulations that have plagued the Lightning in recent weeks, it was nice to see the Bolts build up a lead with goals from both expected and unlikely sources. Despite a few nervous minutes towards the end...
