Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Sami Salo left Saturday's game with a lower-body injury and did not return, as reported by Lightning beat writer Missy Zielinski. Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports tweeted that Salo received a puck off one of his ankles. Salo played only 4:30 during the first period of the game. He registered one hit and one blocked shot. He was seen using crutches in the locker room after the game, however they may have been only for precaution.The 39-year-old veteran and Finnish Olympic team member plays big minutes for the Bolts, averaging 18:53 TOI after appearing in 38 games. He has one goal and six assists and is a plus-6.After the game, the team announced that he will be re-evaluated on Sunday. Lightning's other star defenseman Victor Hedman is alright after receiving a shoulder-to-shoulder hit to the head from Flyers forward Scott Hartnell. It occurred near the end of the game and he left immediately.
