Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Martin St. Louis was hit in the face by a puck during Thursday's morning skate.
St. Louis, 36, was taken to New York University Medical Center for further evaluation after he was hit above his eye.
"We'll see what the extent of it is, but right now it doesn't look pretty," Lightning coach Guy Boucher told the Tampa Tribune. "It just keeps on pouring. We have to prepare as if he's not going to be available."
St. Louis, who was preparing to play in his 500th consecutive game against the New York Rangers, has collected nine goals, 13 assists and six penalty minutes this season.
