The Rangers have always depended on Henrik Lundqvist to bail them out of every sticky situation they encounter. And up until this point in his career, he has answered the bell each time. However, this season, the Rangers and their fans are learning how average this team really can be when Lundqvist isn't on top of his game. While he covered up for every defensive miscue and shortcoming that came his way last year, this season has been a different story. Listen, Lundqvist is the least of the Rangers problems right now, but let's be honest he hasn't exactly reprised his role of "The Wolf" this season which he has perfected over the years... Last night was the perfect example. Lundqvist was far from being the reason the Rangers lost, but man, he's got have that fourth Jets goal... ...if the Rangers have any chance of turning this thing around, Lundqvist can't allow soft goals like that. Unfortunately for him, he's going to have to be nearly perfect every night. But as we've seen he is more than capable of rising to the occasion once again. Lundqvist acknowledged that he can't allow goals like that if that Rangers want to win (via ESPN)... “I'm going to think about for the next 24 hours. I’ve gone over it a couple of times and I’ve tried to find out a reason for why I picked it up a little late. It doesn’t matter; I need to stop it. For whatever reason, it squeezed through my pad and my glove.” Remember to follow me on Twitter & Facebook or e-mail me at nyrfan94@yahoo.com.
