With the Rangers down 1-0 to the Hurricanes and looking more lethargic by the second, it seemed like the season was slipping away in front of our eyes.
So in the second period when Riley Nash popped open on the crease and had the final nail in the Blueshirts coffin on his stick, Rangers fans saw this lost season flash in front of their eyes. And just 23 seconds after that save, Ryan Callahan tied the game at 1-1 helping the Rangers to a 2-1 shootout victory.
...now who knows if this save really ends up saving the Rangers season and if they don't follow up last night's victory with another win in New Jersey tonight that save is already wasted, but for one day at least we Rangers fans can feel good about our team again. And as usual, it's because of our All World goaltender.
