Seriously, is there anything Henrik Lundqvist can't do? This guy has single handedly kept the Rangers in this series. The Blueshirts have scored just 11 goals in the first six games. 11! And because of the Swedish netminders heroics there will be a Game 7. Here's some of his handy work from the closing minutes of Game 6 including his final second pad save on John Carlson... Here's John Tortorella on his goaltender (via NHL.com)... "The ultimate goal for Hank, in his mind, is to win the Stanley Cup. But you need to go through these types of situations to get there obviously. So I thought he stood in there last year for us and he certainly came up big [Sunday]." The Capitals Karl Azner added... "Obviously, one of the best goalies in the League. We're lucky we have some of the best scorers in the League and the best playmakers. I just hope that our guys are better than their guys." ...can you believe there have been fan...

Per Andrew Gross, defenseman Stu Bickel and forward J.T. Miller were sent home from the Rangers taxi squad for wrist injuries. This doesn’t have much of an effect on the Rangers, but neither Bickel nor Miller will be available as injury replacements. Tweet

Clowe, Powe Don't Travel to DC; Miller, Bickel Sent Home to Rest Wrists

Pat Leonard at the Daily News reports that tonight's line-up will remain the same, as Marc Staal (eye), Ryane Clowe (undisclosed) and Darroll Powe (concussion) are out tonight. The New York Times is reporting that Derek Boogaard's family has filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against the National Hockey League. John Tortorella Is In Playoff Presser Form

John Tortorella is starting to really get in the Playoff swing of things. His Rangers are all tied up with the Capitals at 3 games a piece and Torts is in no mood for non-questions. Check out Torts after Sunday’s game respond to a poor reporter who asked for his thoughts. That is where the fun began. [YouTube] Article found on: Next Impulse Sports

Another seventh game

AP Photo/Kathy Willens The Rangers are pretty good at making us sweat. This club went to seven games twice (Ottawa, Washington) and six games once (Devils) last season. They went to seven games in 2009 (Washington). There was only one series in this time frame that didn’t go to seven games, and that was in 2011 when the Rangers lost to the Caps in five games. If the Rangers are...

John Tortorella Shuts Down Reporters Three Different Ways at Rangers’ Postgame News Conference (Video)

Saying Rangers coach John Tortorella is irascible and unhelpful in a news conference is like saying they have ice at hockey rinks. But Sunday’s after-game chit chat, after the Rangers beat the Capitals 1-0 in their first-round playoff series, was especially charming. Tortorella has never been one to hide his lack of love for the media, but he was also in a didactic mood Sunday...

Boston Bruins/New York Rangers Round 2 Schedule Released

Stole this from NYRangersblog. I'm sure he won't mind if we do a little copy/paste.  As you can see, Boston gets 2 days off between Games 1 and 2 and then 2 days off between Games 2 and 3. That could benefit a team that is tired and could be without their top two defensemen. Also, if you're wondering - there will be NO games on NESN.  Game 1: NBCSN, RDS...
