VANCOUVER — Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo has reclaimed the Vancouver nets, at least for now. The veteran will make his second consecutive start Tuesday against the visiting Avalanche, which begins a three-game Northwest Division road trip at Rogers Arena. Backup goalie Cory Schneider made seven consecutive starts until Luongo got the nod in Sunday’s 5-1 victory over Calgary Flames. Tuesday’s game caps Vancouver’s four-game homestand. The Canucks have won five of their last six games. Interesting story here about Vancouver forward Chris Higgins, who is fourth on the team with 17 points (eight goals). Higgins didn’t practice today and won’t play against the Avs because of a possible staph infection in his foot. Sounds like he suffered the same ailment last year, after doctors thought he was bitten by a snake or spider. Higgins had a goal and two helpers in Sunday’s victory over the Flames.
