via the Pittsburgh Penguins, Sidney Crosby traveled to California Friday to visit with Dr. Robert S. Bray, a neurological spine specialist, as part of his continuing treatment program. Crosby will undergo a series of tests with Dr. Bray.
Crosby has not played since Dec. 5 because of concussion-like symptoms.

Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin and Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Zbynek Michalek will have hearings with the NHL on Monday following their actions during Sunday's contest.
Ovechkin, who scored during the 4-3 overtime loss, left his feet to deliver a hit to the head of Michlaek at 4:05 of the second period.
For his part, Michalek received a minor elbowing penalty...
