And in a not surprising ending, Evgeni Malkin scores the game winner just 1 minute and 31 seconds into overtime. Malkin and Neal were again the force to be reckoned with. Neal and Malkin could not compliment each other any more, Malkin had 2 assists on Neal’s 2 goals and Neal had the assist on Malkin’s overtime goal. Malkin has 58 points in 41 games played. This gives him a three point lead over Claude Giroux of the Philadelphia Flyers...

Malkin Like Fedorov
from Larry Brooks of the NY Post, Evgeni Malkin’s dominance absent Sidney Crosby’s presence in Pittsburgh is reminiscent of the way Sergei Fedorov would take command in Detroit whenever Steve Yzerman was sidelined.
Malkin, meanwhile, continues to be the league’s sneakiest dirtiest player, enabled by officials who continue to allow him to go scot-free for plays such as the...

So what happened?
Dustin Jeffrey, Kris Letang and Evgeni Malkin happened.
Two of those happenings would not have been possible just a week or two ago, so it's nice the see the Pens getting important contributions from some of the guys recently returned from injury. Richard Park is another player who has provided a few important goals.
