Canucks Puck:
The Vancouver Canucks signed Manny Malhotra to a 3 year $7.5 million deal on July 1st, 2010 that includes a no trade clause in hoping he could be a key piece in providing some much need offensive and defensive depth to the Canucks their lineup, as well as being one of the best faceoff specialists in the game. But after a nasty, unfortunate puck that was redirected into Malhotra’s eye last week. After eye surgery it has been determined by the Canucks doctors to shut Manny down for the remainder of the season. The bigger question here is that if Malhotra’s eye does not regain normal vision, his career could be in jeopardy. As there is no word yet, if Manny will regain his eye sight; even by the start of the 2011 season. I know we all wish Malhotra and his family on his recovery. This season Malhotra finished with 11 goals and 19 assist for 30 points, along with a +/- of 9.
