Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender James Reimer is expected to return to the lineup for Saturday's game against the Boston Bruins.
Maple Leafs coach Ron Wilson said Reimer received medical clearance Friday after sitting out 19 games with concussion-like symptoms.
He is expected to serve as a backup to Jonas Gustavsson against the Bruins.
Reimer has been sidelined since suffering a neck injury in a collision with Montreal captain Brian Gionta on Oct. 22.
In his first full season in the NHL, Reimer had posted a 4-0-1 mark with a 2.58 goals-against average in six starts before the injury.
