Maple Leafs Likely to Keep First Round Draft Pick
Another playoff-less season, more rumours surrounding the Toronto Maple Leafs. This time it’s not about acquiring a big-name centre or strong defensive defenceman, but rather if the Maple Leafs should deal their first round draft pick.
In case you’re not aware, the Leafs could end up selecting as high as first overall this summer with more losses and some luck.
Those in favour...
Is Brian Burke’s Plan Flawed?
If you have ever played a game of Texas Hold’em Poker you will inevitably watch a number of short stacked players make a final push to stay in the game by offering up an all-in move.
An all-in moves involves a player pushing all off his chips into the pot with the hopes that he will (against the odds) get lucky and win the pot. More times than not the final push leads to a loss...
Ken Beckett: Birthday Beats - James Reimer Leads Leafs in Birthday Win over Bolts

Mike Augello: Multi-System Failure
The professional and amateur analysts are trying to come up with a reason why the Toronto Maple Leafs have âfallen off a cliffâ, to use the apt description of GM Brian Burke.
The finger of blame has often been pointed at Ron Wilson, at management for spending significant dollars in free agency on players who have not lived up to expectations, at the subpar play of two...
Panthers Continue To Own The Leafs
from George Richards of On Frozen Pond, The Toronto Maple Leafs have a new coach since the Panthers last saw them, yet not much has changed.
Not only are the Leafs still losing at a remarkable clip, but the offensively-challenged Panthers continue to score a lot of goals on them.
And if the Panthers make the playoffs for the first time since Bill Clinton was in office, they probably...
Ken Beckett: Maple Leafs Game Day - Game 71: Leafs vs. Lightning
Sitting just one point up on last place in the Eastern Conference thanks in large part to their recent collapse, the Toronto Maple Leafs look to climb their way back up the standings as they take on Steven Stamkos and the Tampa Bay Lightning in the third game of their current five-game road trip.
This is the third of four meetings between the two clubs this season. Perhaps a meeting...
