Martin Broduer would be willing to play for a new team if the New Jersey Devils aren't contenders late in the 2013-14 season. In an interview seen over on The Star-Ledger, Brodeur outlined that he'd be willing to waive his no-trade clause if the Devils were out of the playoff picture and if a contender came calling.  Brodeur has been with the Devils since the 1991-92 season and has won three Stanley Cups. Though a proper ending to his lengthy career in New Jersey seemed likely, the goaltender wouldn't deny a move to a contender if it also helped improve the Devils.  The NJ goaltender's comments on a potential trade and waiving his no-trade clause: I hope it will never happen, but if there is a situation that could be really fun for me and really good for the Devils, why not? It’s not like I’m going to play 25 more years here. I’m not looking for that. I want to get back into the playoffs with this team and try to do something with this team. I would say 99 percent I’d say no right now. But for a little bit of time (in the spring)? Nobody is going to remember it, really. It wouldn’t be that big of a deal. Is it a legitimate chance to win a Stanley Cup? I have to make that decision. At the end of the day, I have the power of doing what I want to do. I’ve never used it, but I might use it. As a hockey player you have to remain open to things. I’m not going to say no. But there is no guarantee I’ll agree to it. It'd be pretty bizarre watching Brodeur sport the uniform of a different team, but if it meant he'd have one more chance to go out on top it's doubtful you'd see too many Devils fans holding it against him.  Brodeur isn't even sure there'd be a market for a goaltender late in the year, but he also commented that a situation where he'd join a contender only to re-sign with the Devils next year wouldn't be out of the question. It's difficult envisioning a scenario where the 41-year-old goaltender signs a new contract beyond this season, but that's the picture Brodeur painted in his interview.  However, Brodeur has his limits. When asked about a hypothetical move to the New York Rangers, Brodeur answered by saying: "There are limits." [follow]
