TAMPA, Fla. -- Captain Marty St. Louis has made more history with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
With an assist on winger Ryan Malone's goal in the first period of a 5-1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday, St. Louis earned his 900th point in a Tampa Bay uniform. The 38-year-old added goals in the second and third periods, giving the Lightning 3-0 and 4-1 leads at Tampa Bay Times Forum.
The 15-year veteran now has 922 career points, which includes production from two seasons with the Calgary Flames before he made his Lightning debut in the 2000-2001 campaign.
"It's an honor," St. Louis said. "You come into this league, and you're just trying to find a way. As you progress through your career, obviously, you achieve some milestones. I've been fortunate to play with some great players and some coaches that believe in me. I try to help my team everyday."
