Mason Raymond lays on the ice after sustaining a first period hit Early in the first period of Game 6 between the Boston Bruins and the Vancouver Canucks, Bruins defenseman Johnny Boychuk finished a check on Mason Raymond into the corner boards. While a clean hit, it was an awkward hit in which their legs got tangled and both players were sent crashing into the boards. The play went the other way before NBC sideline reporter and general douchebag Pierre McGuire started saying “Raymond’s down and he’s not getting up”. Now, normally, no matter what the situation is, the fans will go quiet hoping that the injury is not that serious. This is mostly due to the fact that they wouldn’t want that injury to happen to one of their own players and also wouldn’t want that injury to actually happen to themselves.
