Mason Raymond is a candidate to be dealt at the trade deadline. This shouldn’t be news to the Canucks and the Canucks fans as there was some rumbling at the beginning of the season that he would be dealt. Raymond is 26 years and he had 25 goals and 28 assists during the 2009-10 season. Raymond is also a good penalty killer, has a good wrist shot and he’s fast. But, for some reason, he’s not producing this year. David Booth, who was acquired by the Canucks earlier this season, is likely going to replace Raymond. The question is which team will be interested in Raymond and how much are they going to give up for him? The Canucks should try and get toughness and/or some depth on defense.

Vancouver goaltender Cory Schneider took issue with Bruins goalie Tim Thomas blowing off the team's White House visit, saying it is "about putting your own agenda aside to do something with the team."

Do the Canucks All-Star appearances benefit Vancouver?

All-Star Game Past As a child, I was fascinated by the NHL all-star game. Growing up in the ‘80s was not just a fantastic musical era, featuring the prime years of such luminary bands as U2, A Flock of Seagulls and Kajagoogoo, it also allowed for televised coverage of matches to attain event status. The lack of video coverage in those days with few television channels and no internet...

Flying V’s Hat Trick: Luongo Wins A Shootout! The Oil go down.

Five Round TKO The Vancouver Canucks appeared to control the game early against the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Arena but couldn’t put away their division rivals until the fifth round of the shootout on Tuesday. Henrik Sedin & Daniel Sedin had the puck on a string all night but couldn’t put it home past Devan Dubnyk in a solid performance from Edmonton’s young backup. The...

Hodgson’s Shootout goal lead Canucks past Oilers

Cody Hodgson strikes again. Thanks to Hodgson’s shootout goal, the Vancouver Canucks defeated the Edmonton Oilers 3-2. The Canucks had lots of opportunities to put the Oilers away, but they hit posts on some shots. For the Oilers, they had their chances too, but Roberto Luongo was there to stop them. The Canucks outshot the Oilers 35-32. Daniel Sedin and David Booth would score...

Vancouver Whitecaps 2012 MLS Schedule is Released

MLS Matchups As the excitement builds for a second MLS run, the Vancouver Whitecaps have the new schedule to salivate over. The league has done a good job spreading out the games of interest. The only negative is that Vancouver will only face Montreal and Toronto once each, removing the thrill of a pair of home and home Canuck series. Canadian Clashes New coach Martin Rennie’s...

Another reason to hate the Vancouver Canucks

Image via WikipediaI mean really?!? Cory Schneider is a good goalie and a very serviceable back up to the Canucks head case Robert Luongo, but he isn't even close to the stature of Boston Bruins goalie Tim Thomas. I guess as a Bruins fan, I can just chalk it up as another reason to hate the Vancouver Canucks hockey team. The Providence --- Cory Schneider, an American from Marblehead...

Edmonton Oilers vs. Canucks Blog: Love’ Em & Hate’ Em

A Squeeker Tuesday night’s game between the Vancouver Canucks and the Edmonton Oilers was as close to a gimme as the Canucks have seen all year. It's Spring Break...

Matthew Barry: Say WHAT? Corey Perry to Vancouver???

Hey, its a RUMOR board, right? This one is delicious.
