Bostonglobe.comCSNNEAfter 15 seasons in the NHL, 899 games, 100 career goals and the winner of 2 Stanley Cups, 38 year old WInchester, MA native, and former Bruin and Boston Terrier, Jay Pandolfo, is hanging up the skates.Last season,Pandolfo hopped on board the Bruins train to the Stanley Cup Finals, appearing in 18 games for the black and gold. Before his short time with the Bruins, Pandolfo was the 32nd overall pick in the 1993 draft by the New Jersey Devils. He would play three more years at Boston University, being named the Hockey East Player of the Year in his senior season.Pandolfo started his first full NHL season with the Devils in 1998, and then won two Stanley Cups with the Devils in 2000 and 2003.Pandolfo may have not been an NHL superstar but he was a gritty, penalty killer and defensive player.Best of luck to Pandolfo on his retirement, maybe one day we will see him coaching hockey, or obtaining a position with the Bruins.
