Matt Ellis resigns with Sabres

The Sabres announced on Tuesday that forward Matt Ellis has been re-signed to a one-year deal.

Ellis, who turned 29 today, registered 13 points last season in 72 games, both career highs. He has 33 points and 56 penalty minutes in 187 career NHL games with Detroit, L.A. and Buffalo.
