The Kings dominated most of the game and the final score of 4-2 was not really reflective of the play.
The Kings fired 48 shots at Phoenix goaltender Mike Smith while Phoenix managed to get 27 shots on Jonathan Quick.

Wow, the Kings. Whoddathunk that the 8th seed Los Angeles Kings would beat both top seeds in the Western Conference to make it all the way to the Conference Final series…in only 9 games. They’ll take on the 3rd seeded Phoenix Coyotes who have been very impressive in their own right beating a tough Predators team pretty convincingly last round.

During Game 1 of the Los Angeles Kings and Phoenix Coyotes Western conference finals playoff match-up, Jonathan Quick finally looked human. Coyotes defenseman Derek Morris got a lucky bounce and was able to put the puck past Quick from center ice. I’m sure Quick wasn;t given too much flack following the game as the Kings went on to win 4-2.
